My Journey to the North Pole to see Santa!

Dear Santa,

Thanks for the great train ride. I really liked the cookies and chocolate milk, but I must admit you scared me a little bit. I hope you will still come visit me for Christmas. Mom says I have been good even though lately I seem to say "mine" and "no" a lot. Also, I hope you will visit Sam and his mommy and daddy too. We had a lot of fun visiting Sam (or as I like to call him "Ham").

This year I am not sure what I want as I am just 2 years old. So I am sure whatever you bring will be great. But just in case you need a hint I REALLY like Dora the Explorer! I watch her videos all the time. (I think it drives mom crazy.)

Merry Christmas,

Isabell

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

One year ago yesterday Isabell An Gallahue was placed in my arms for the first time in China. She was quite and still. She was 16 months old and did not walk or talk. Her face was as sweet as I imagined and those eyes were just as full and bright with life as I thought they were in the pictures I had gotten six months previously.

What a difference a year makes! She is talking, can count to 5, recognizes colors, letters and numbers. She know some sign language, goes to day care and charms everyone with her fun and loving personality.
What I am most thankful for this Thanksgiving is this precious person that the good Lord has brought into my life. Thank you to my family and friends for all the love and support you have given over the past year! We are thankful for you, Love Martha and Isabell

The Owl and the Pussy Cat

Isabell loves a good book and I could not have timed this more perfect. In the background you will hear the poem of the Owl and the Pussy Cat. She will often sit in her room and surround herself with books looking at the pictures and even now say what some of the pictures are in the book. Her vocabulary is growing daily. Mommy needs to watch what she says so little ears do not repeat.

Happy Halloween!

Grandpa and I made our first Jack-o-lantern together! I learned about eyes, nose and mouth. Also, I did not like putting my hand in the pumpkin as it was mushy.

Train riding and hanging out with my friend Katy

This past weekend we attended the Little Sisters of the Poor fundraiser. Grandpa volunteers there so Isebell got to put on her new boots and enjoy the days activities with friends and family.

My 1st pair of cowboy boots - Thanks Grandpa!

Reunion with my friend Sam!

Sam and Isabell had a little reunion at the beach this past weekend! They had a great time playing and running in the sand and water together. It was a beautiful time.

Can you tell me how to get to Sesame Street?

This past weekend we had a real treat and went to see Elmo or "mo-mo" as Isabell calls him. It was a nice production and the girls Isabell and her friend Katy seemed to really enjoy themselves.
